The Martin D-28 has developed a rich history over the years, and is seen by many as a true workhorse acoustic flat top and arguably Martin's flagship Spruce & Rosewood guitar, having been used by countless musicians across folk and rock music since the companies establishment in 1833. This 1983 Martin D-28 150th Anniversary celebrates this milestone, with these instruments often considered some of the best modern made Martin guitars of the last 40 years. Featuring a Sitka Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back & sides, the top is braced with scalloped forward shifted X bracing, making it extremely resonant with a real dynamic range. The neck features a low oval profile that is modern and comfortable to play while retaining a slightly chunkier vintage feel. Other features include an ebony finger board and bridge along with a black plastic pickguard, herringbone binding and zigzag back strip. Inside the sound hole is stamped with '1833-1983,' marking this as an Anniversary model.
