Step into the early ’60s and cue the reverb! This 1963 Jazzmaster Relic from the Fender Custom Shop Time Machine series is pure vintage cool with a few decades of stories baked in. It looks, feels, and sounds like an original ’63 Jazzmaster that’s been gigged hard, loved deeply, and never left its case without turning heads. This is the kind of guitar that makes you play surf riffs even if you swore you were just going to noodle.
The 2-piece select alder body and quartersawn maple neck are finished in nitrocellulose lacquer for that perfectly worn, broken-in feel, like an old leather jacket but louder. A smooth 3A rosewood fingerboard with 21 narrow tall frets sits atop a comfy 1965 Strat “C” back-shape neck, paired with a vintage-to-modern-friendly 7.25"–9.5" compound radius. Vintage-style Fender-logo tuners, a bone nut, and an RSD Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge keep everything rock-solid and era-correct, right down to the last string tree.
Plug it in and the magic really starts. Custom Shop hand-wound Jazzmaster pickups in the neck and bridge deliver that unmistakable chime, warmth, and growl that made the Jazzmaster a legend. The classic wiring gives you a 3-position toggle, a lead/rhythm slide switch, and master volume and tone controls—because tonal options are always a good idea. Finished off with a parchment pickguard and a deluxe hardshell case (plus strap and certificate of authenticity), this Jazzmaster doesn’t just sound like the ’60s...
