Fender Custom Shop Custom 59 Esquire, Relic, Vintage Blonde (Trade In)

From the Fender Custom Shop, made in 2003, we have a stunning Custom 59 Esquire in a Vintage Blonde Relic package. Lightly used, never abused and a great deal on the finest Fender series available.

Weighing in at a super comfy 7.0 lbs, this terrific sounding instrument rings like a bell and has a wonderful acoustic quality. Plugged in, you've got the curious Esquire layout of pickup straight to volume in position one, volume to tone in position 2 and tone down full in position 3. Lots of great sounds to discover from the mighty single pickup; focused, smooth and open in all the best Tele bridge tone ways.

The neck profile is of particular interest here as it's more modern than what you'd find on a lot of Esquires. No trace of a V, rounded shoulders and more akin to a slightly heavier modern C shape. In any case, it's very satisfying and worked in nicely by either honest play, or factory spec. 

The nitro finish has greened slightly, with gorgeous body checking covering the translucent blonde finish over striped ash. It's an iconic Fender look that glows from across the room, beckoning to any and all Tele fanatics.
